Overnight stop in a quaint little town called Flagstaff. There was a countdown to New Years in the Main Street.
Loved our hotel Drury Inn & Suites Flagstaff. Best $140 a night hotel I've come across anywhere in the world. Great room with a free evening snacks (actually a buffet of food) and cocktails, breakfast and free popcorn and soda drinks if you're watching a movie in your room.
Did I mention that I ran into the Carlton footy club doing their pre-season altitude training? Yep they were staying at the same hotel. Is that you Mick cuddling the tipsy stalker?
So when it was time to head off it was just a tad icy. Lucky we have an ice scraper a.k.a. credit card!
