A long drive to Mariposa so we stopped in at a classic Diner for lunch.
It was definitely a picturesque drive.
Mariposa is a gorgeous little town outside of Yosemite. We thought this was easier than trying to get snow chains for the rental car and driving into Yosemite. We decided to leave the rental car at the hotel we were coming back to and they were happy with that. The bus into Yosemite was $12 return which was an absolute bargain for taking the stress of driving away.
A great little diner for dinner before we went back to the hotel for the night before catching the bus into Yosemite in the morning.
We stayed overnight in Yosemite and had a good full day exploring.
Matthew spots a 'wild pig'. Check your eyes Matt. That's not a pig!
What to do? Let's go ice skating. Watch you don't fall on your bad wrist though Simon.
Matt needed some support. Look no hands! It only took about an hour.
No better way to warm up than being next to a roaring fire with a hot chocolate.
