Brand Label Second Hand Store

Someone asked about the second hand  bag shop in Osaka. I had asked this question before we headed there as I had seen several in Tokyo. They are really quite easy to find. There are about four within a short distance from each other. As you walk up the street there are three stores on the left hand side and one on the right hand side. There is one in particular which has a HUGE range and we found that this one had the best prices. My advice is don't buy from the first shop you see. You will know the one I am talking about because it has so many to choose from. The bags range from pretty much new to well used. From conversations with others I believe that the Japanese take their used bags to what we call pawn brokers and get cash. If you know your brands well you will know if you are getting a bargain or not. I picked up a limited addition no longer made LV Cherry Cherise for $300 which made my day. Obviously the newer the bag is and the better condition it is the closer to the original price it is. More common bags such as LV Speedys, Almas or Keepalls are cheaper as they have a lot to choose from.

Here is my explanation of where the several shops we visited in Namba are.

The purple arrow is where you need to head when you come out of Namba station. The purple circle is where the great shop is. There are several others just before it and one more after it.

If you are coming out of the Namba Nankai station come out of the north exit. This is the front of the station and will look like this.

The purple arrow is where you come out.
From here you need to cross the road at the huge crossing towards the right hand side then walk directly forward toward the Shinsaibashi shopping street.

This is the entrance to the shopping street. There is a huge 0101 store on the left hand side of the entrance and a First Kitchen store on the right just as you enter. This street goes on for kilometres and is a shoppers paradise.

Once you enter the covered street keep walking straight. You will come to the first second hand bag store on your right hand side (I think it was after crossing the Dotonbori River but might be wrong). There is another on your right further up then three after that on your left. The best one is the first one on the left.
